Tower Ladder 5 was purchased by our department in 1995, although it was manufactured a year earlier. This truck carries 143' of ground ladders, a 10 kW generator and 600' of 5" Hose. The dimensions are quite impressive: 11' 6" tall and about 53' long. The box boom can extend to 95' from which two 1000 GPM manual nozzles can be operated in a bucket containing three men at most. Because of the boom's particular telescopic design, we may flow water and extend/detract the boom simultaneously.

Engine 260 is our newest apparatus (although Tower Ladder 5 was acquired later). It carries 2000' 5" Hose, 1,000' 1 3/4" Hose and 400' 2 1/2" Hose. The pump panel is top-mounted and features digital flow meters. For foam, the pump includes an automatic foam eductor which draws foam from a 30-gallon tank. It is also equipped with a 1250 GPM Deck gun. This engine responds out of the D.P. Hays Hose firehouse in the old village.
